Why Work With Us
Toroja Charities is a Southern California organization that helps provides assistance to the local community in need. Currently focused on providing compassion kits with hygiene items and snacks to the homeless population, year round donation collection of schools supplies and unwrapped toys for less fortunate children in LA County.
Operated by Heather Tyler, a proud Veteran, who comes from a family of Veterans. Her father served as a Marine in Vietnam War and her grandfather received a Purple Heart for combat in World War II. The name Toroja comes from her 3 children’s names that often volunteer to help deliver supplies.
Heather’s long term goal is to open a Veteran’s Village and Community Center in the Antelope Valley that will provide housing to homeless vets and their families, while providing a sense of community and restoring their feeling of honor. This really comes from a passion to give back. “I feel I have been truly blessed in life and have the desire to help others that are in need,” Heather says, “It fills my heart with joy and love to see the smile on the faces of the people we help. Even if it is something little or small it can really brighten a person’s day.”
We are currently accepting donations year round of hygiene items, canned foods, school supplies, unwrapped toys, gift cards, and monetary donations year round. These can be sent to or dropped off at 3813 W. Magnolia Blvd Burbank CA 91505.
